Nuns
- One of the few ways for woman who did not wish to get maried to keep from geting maried. - woman who became nuns grew up in nunneries - nuns performed many of the same types of work monks do.

- relgious orders = A brotherhood or a sisterhood of monks, nuns, or friars. - Each order had its own distintive rules and forms of service. -The Monasteries
